Bihar Tourist Places

Bihar is popularly known as the “Land of Nirvana”. A land of monasteries, a land where one can have religious place for everyone. The holiest site for Buddhists Bodh Gaya lies in the state. This place is famous all over the world. The founder of Jainism lord Mahavira was born in Vaishali. The tenth guru of Sikh, Guru Gobind Singh was born in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The state is visited by many religious devotees.

The state is famously known for its festivals. The cultural heritage of the state is very old, and people have preserved it. A place where goddess Sita, wife of Lord Rama, daughter of King Janak was born and the state is very well known for its madhubani paintings, and the Leechis.

Some of the important tourist spots in Bihar are Patna, Vaishali, Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Pawapuri, Rajgir, Deogarh (Baidyanath Dham), Kushinagar.
